Scores of children from Central and West Spryfield schools throng the Herring Cove Road during school days. The Spryfield Home and School Associtation has asked that RCMP post a special traffic constable or the proince have warning lights erected for motorists. Both suggestions have been rejected but some warning signs will be added. May 28, 1958 photo by Wamboldt Waterfield. NOTE: The corner of Central School in top left corner.

Melville Island in the 1880’s. Now the home of the Armdale Yacht Club, but in past days the fortifications were once used to house military prisoners.
