After the great years at BC Silver I went to Dal thinking I wanted to be an engineer. Not so after a tough first year I went back and got a BA then I thought I would be an architect. Not so went to U of T enrolled in a masters program in Planning. Went to work for the Province for 9 months was born and got a great position with the City of Dartmouth. From there to the Town of Bedford after it was incorporated. From there back to Western University for a Public Administration degree. Left Bedford and went into private practice for a dozen years, retired for a little while and started a renewable energy company and ran it for 10 years, left and started another company involved with waste to energy. Then Ed Jack and I got this crazy idea to organize a 50 year reunion. What a great time to meet old friends, have some laughs and work with a group of volunteers to pull this event together. Now for the good stuff. During all that time I was married to the best girl in the world, we had three boys (now men) and they have had five great grandchildren. one beautiful grand daughter and four fun loving grandsons.
Life is worth every minute you spend in it.

Hi folks:
Just read Leo's entry and thought I would add my facts. After graduating form BC, I attended NS Teachers college returning to teach at BC SILVER Jr not Sr high. In 1975 we had our first daughter and I became a stay at home mom for 12 years ( what an amazing job) When our youngest son began school I took a part time contract teaching at our local elementary school. As well I went back to university to attain my BEd. Life has been filled with many blessings and challenges. We are so lucky to have made it to this point, to enjoy each other and our friends and family.
Now to the next stage, a Seenager. Guess what we can do just about anything (well almost)😆 Unless the kids get involved and say "oh really"...

After high school I graduated from Dal with. science degree . Those days it was easy to get a job and I had a great one with Lands and Forests , got married and two years later ,moved to Ontario
That severing of my east coast ties to family and friends just about did me in but luckily with good family support here and a great career I forged on making many trips back east to mainly visit my aging parents to whom I remained very close
I would visit a few friends but as time went I only kept in touch with a few good friends but often yearned to see all !! So my chance is coming !
Fast forward to day I am in Kitchener retired from business but teach piano
Have 3 grown children and one lovely granddaughter who keeps us laughing and a dog who walks me daily
I still see my sister when I can and those few friends I've dearly kept.
As an older adult I now fly east but we had many many Chevy Chase holidays with a fully loaded roof racked van -three kids and two dogs in a van driving east in two days
Even at Christmas through snow storms and stopping in Quebec to visit friends
How did we do that ???
Well If I say too much there will be nothing to talk about in June !!!!!
Look forward to seeing you all !!

OMG almost 50 years! It's amazing how often some of my "class of 69" drift through my memories. After BCS I went to Dal, worked, and showed dogs. Married and moved to Ottawa a decade later. Mid life career change found me at college again to study Interior Design. 20 additional working years later we're retired empty nesters enjoying woodworking and art. Hope everyone has a great time at the reunion. Frequently my heart aches to smell the salt air and hear the crashing waves in God's country. Take care.

After graduation I attended Dalhousie University where I learned to party. Picked up a BA on the way though, by the skin of my teeth. I then spent four years at Ryerson in Toronto, picking up a degree in Interior Design. After that I moved back home, doing various jobs and obtained my Carpentry papers. I slowly developed my own construction business and in 1987 moved to Chester with my wife Diana and my two kids, where I designed and built custom homes, and did many renovations and restorations over the years. I am presently trying to quit work so I can spend more time doing my art work, theatre, playing music, and traveling.

My siblings still live in Spryfield, so I enjoy visiting and reminiscing about our years growing up in such a loving, caring community.

Commerce from SMU, where Sue and I met 49 years ago, followed by 35 years of various services to Her Majesty, the Queen; with CRA, NS Finance, NS Community Services in Audit and Finance, NS Management Board. Happily retired! (13 years now). We have 3 wonderful grown children, 5 lovely grandchildren.
I made some wonderful friends at BCS and it's always fun to step back in time and talk to them again. Some are still in my close network who I see from time to time, but others are not and it's special to meet them again, even for short catching up.

Got into sales at an early age and worked for several national companies. In 1984, with a wife and 3 kids, decided it was time to get "Off the Road" and we opened Lumbermart Ltd. in Spryfield. (of course)

We are now retired and our eldest son Jason carries on with our business and we have 2 Grandkids. We have remained in the community and have no desire to live anywhere else. (except in winter...LoL)
